The desiccant is a critical part of the drying process - it captures the moisture released during the 8-hour conditioning cycle. Without a desiccant, moisture would simply resettle in the hearing aids at the end of the cycle.
Each Dry-Brik II has a two-month life expectancy, even under the most humid conditions, and is packed in a sealed wrapper.
The shelf life of unopened Dry-Briks is 18 months. For maximum absorbancy, we recommend you do not buy more than two packets at a time.
